2021 Open Call for Artist Participation “Art for Climate change” Digital Exhibition

Artwork that will be shown in the digital exhibition will be selected from two separate channels – curated pieces through galleries as well as some public submission on this site. The second channel is exclusively through user review feature on our website. 

The program will feature renown artists and amateurs. Photography and other digital images are eligible.

The digital exhibition will be included on IKONO TV – a global media platform that aggregates videos and films from the art, architecture, and design community. 

Platforme Planet Earth provides a unique opportunity to showcase your work on a Global Media Outlet

 In partnership with ikonotv, Platforme Planet Earth now has a dedicated channel to publish climate change themed art. It will include original content and a selection of our artists’ existing work – to be shown as video or short films. IKONO TV program boasts over 1 million unique viewers and is accessible worldwide; It streams and has a subscription-based program for internet, mobiles and SmartTV users worldwide.

All pieces must fit in one of the nine categories, selected by the artist at the time of submission:

  1. Summer 2021 – Online Exhibition

Now through the end of July, 2021, there will be two consecutive promotions, with the “user reviews” of all audience voting on the site. The highest scoring pieces will qualify and be part of the exhibition – taking place in October 2021.

In addition to the people’s choice selections, the fall exhibition will feature curated content from all online listings (submissions), for the gallery-represented artists, with separate categories for solo/amateur artists or submission without a gallery.

Once the final winners have been selected, and the exhibition created, it will headline the Platforme Planet Earth website and all marketing outreach for 3 to 6 months.

  • Fall 2021 – Paris and The World Beyond

The exhibition will be produced as a short film- including images of the winning submissions. Each of the nine climate change categories will be included in the video, thereby telling the story of climate change in 2021. 

A high-impact audio-visual presentation of “Art for Climate Change” will premier in October, 2021.**

Partnering in Paris at 193 Gallery – where all selected artists will be invited to join us at an elegant vernissage of the film. Our partner, 193 Gallery, presents exhibitions dedicated to emerging and confirmed contemporary countries and artists from diverse backgrounds.

3: Symbol of sharing, sensitivity to the world and emotions

This beautiful backdrop will frame the video installation to its best visual presentation, and offer artists, guests and all partners to enjoy an exceptional setting in Paris. 

A series of talks and private events will highlight the experience.

The exhibition will be curated by Platforme Planet Earth Founder, Judy Holm and other guest curators to be announced.

The film will be produced by Platform Planet Earth team member, Academy Award winning filmmaker, Juan Carlos Zaldivar.

Artist Benefits – Recognition and Promotion

All selected artists will be invited to attend the opening, and introduced at the event. For all artists unable to attend, their work will be formally acknowledged during the event.

All selected artists whose work is available for sale on the Platforme Planet Earth marketplace will be promoted during the exhibition, and sold actively throughout the exhibition by our experienced art advisors and consultants.

The exhibition will be available as a Traveling Exhibition and made available to corporations and other institutions via a licensing fee.
