Description
The artwork is part of the collection Marine Nature. The theme stems from the need to express own sense of belonging to the sea and to preserve marine ecosystems. The artwork focus on the effects of climate change and aims in particular to highlight phenomena such as the progressive advancement of desertification, the expansion of uninhabitable and unproductive areas and sterility of land caused by the global warming. The scarcity and absence of water, evident in the work through the use of a warm and purple chromatism, represents the process of dessiccation, the loss of man’s primary resource while a dried up material crust represents a land now sterile.
